We used cubes to add two numbers together, make groups of ten, carry over the ten and see how many units we have left. It was a great way of helping the children to visualise the sum.

To wrap up the first two month in school we finished off some autumn art.

Everyone in the Junior Room had a very enjoyable day dressing up in some amazing Halloween costumes. We were also invited to Lough Boora for a Halloween walk which we all enjoyed so much.

We have been busy in the Junior Room these past few weeks. 
In Art we made lovely Daffodil and Bluebell pieces out of pain and card. We have been learning about the seasons of Spring and Summer and what we see in these seasons. 
We also played some fun games in English further developing our sounds, words and pictures recognition. 
And everyday we get to play in our groups during Aistear.

The boys and girls in the Junior room have been practising really hard these past few weeks on their Christmas songs. They put in lots of work learning the songs and the actions.
