Fun 5k Family and Friends Sponsored Walk event in Boora on October 17th

The BoM and PA are organising a large-scale Fun 5k Family and Friends Sponsored Walk event in Boora on October 17th. Please save the date! This event will be hosted on the fundmajor.com platform (similar to a recent KK GAA 5km walk fundraiser and a Mucklagh Playground fundraiser).

The local community and past pupils, as well as current families, will be asked to support the fundraiser in aid of the school by either participating as an “Ambassador” on the platform (this can be an individual or family group) who will seek sponsors through a Whatsapp link to the platform, or by sponsoring a participant. As we are a small school community, it is hoped to have “Ambassadors” outside of the county, or even country, who can spread the word and widen the support field for the fundraiser. It is hoped that some past pupils will help in this regard. We also hope to acquire business sponsorship for the event. If anyone is connected to a business who may be in a position to provide sponsorship, please contact the school or PA for more information and an information letter for business sponsors.

​As this will be a major fundraiser, the BoM and PA have agreed not to proceed with our annual June 5KM walk in Boora or with carparking at Tullamore Show and to concentrate all fundraising efforts on the event in October. Please pass the word to family and friends. Further information in August. Your participation will be much appreciated.
