1st Class have been working really hard these past few weeks in both Maths and English. We have been doing a lot of hands on activities, learning together and playing games to understand the content. Who says learning can't be fun??!! We played some card games such as Go Fish and Snap to help us recognise our sight words and we played a matching game after we learned about capital letters and lowercase letters. Learning Through PlayAistear is the highlight of everyone's day in the Junior Room. We get the chance to play together at different stations each day. Each station ties into a specific area from the curriculum where we can develop our skills and learn through play.  We want to give a big welcome to our new Junior Infants. We all hope that you enjoy the next eight years here in Coolanarney and we look forward to seeing you all grow, learn and become part of our school community and family here.
