We want to thank past pupil Cathal Donoghue for facilitating GAA lessons with all the classes in the school. The children enjoyed every minute of the GAA lessons and have learned lots from Cathal. 

In maths we have been learning about 2D shapes and Data. 
We have learned about the properties of many 2D Shapes, how many corners and sides each shape has. And in Data we have been learning about graphing information on bar charts, line charts and pie charts. 

We went on a 2D shape hunt around the yard in the school. We looked for various shapes in the environment around us, created a tally of how many of each shape we found and when we finished we drew this information on bar, picto and pie charts to represent the data! 

The Middle Room have ben learning about different forms of Art in History. One of the ways that people painted in the past was using a form f mud to paint pictures and make drawings. 
The children collected dirt from the yard (which they enjoyed more then I thought they would) and then we added water to the mud to get a paint-like consistency. We then painted a picture using the mud. Have a look at some of the results below!
