There was some extra excitement in the school today when we had some of the Kilcormac Killoughey Senior Hurling Team visit the school today with the trophy. From everyone in the school we wish to extend a huge Congratulations on their third Offaly title win in a row against Shinrone. That is a pheromonal achievement for the parish. We welcomed three members of the team - whos names have been mentioned on a regular basis in the school and have become role models and influences on the children here in the school - James Mahon, and two past pupils, Charlie Mitchell and Daniel Hand. The children in the school look up to these lads and many others on the team (past pupils and local players). James, Charlie and Daniel spoke about the match, how determined they were to win and to work as a team to achieve this and answered many questions the children asked them. The influence of these Senior Team players has rubbed off on our children from winning their Cumman na mBunscol match during the week and some of our children played on the U12 Football team who won their match at the weekend in the Jerry Conway Memorial Tournament. The future of sport in Kilcormac Killoughey is looking really nright! Thanks lads for coming to the school! Comments are closed.
