Today we had a visit from past pupil Tomas Carrol who played on the Offaly team in the Leinster Minor Football Championship Final. The match took place last month, 19 May, in Newbridge against Louth. The teams hard work paid off as they won the final.
Tomas came into the school today, with the Trophy, on his lunch break, to chat to the children about the match. He told the children to give it your all during any match, rely on your team mates and you have to train hard to achieve what you want. It is great to see so many past pupils doing so well in GAA over the past number of years. They are a true testament to their families, their fellow teammates, teachers and coaches. The children look up to these players and have made an impact on them - from all the great questions they asked Tomas. Comments are closed.
