Our School Ethos

Scoil Mhuire Cúl an Áirne is a Catholic Primary school under the Patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Meath, Michael Smith.

In Coolanarney, we aim to provide a safe and happy environment for our children to learn in. We endeavor to promote the intellectual, physical and emotional, moral and spiritual development of each child so that they can reach their full potential.
We strive to create and maintain healthy relationships between home and school so that parents can play an active role in their children's education.
In our school we appreciate that children come to us from a variety of cultural, religious and social backgrounds.  All children are encouraged and respected for their uniqueness.  Tolerance and understanding are heavily promoted throughout the school.

We provide religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church and promote the formation of the pupils in the Catholic faith.
