Our Electricity Projects 2019
We worked together in class to learn about how electricity travels and how it can be used to power machines of every kind.
We then got into our groups and planned how we would use our knowledge of electricity to design and make our own simple machines.
We made windmills, lighthouses, quiz boards and steady hand games. It was great fun!

Gathering Weather Data 2019
We really enjoyed our class project on studying weather data. For one month, each day, we recorded temperature, rainfall, wind direction and wind speed. We then drew charts and graphs to display the data and draw conclusions. We also used the internet to record the times of sunrise and sunset and as it was Spring we could see that in one month there was over one extra hour of daylight.
Engineer's Week 2019
We really enjoyed our trip to Birr Theatre where Scientific Sue showed us the ingenious work of Irish scientists and engineers of the past.
Science Week 2018
As part of Science Week , we visited Tullamore College and with the help of the teachers and the Transition Year students we took part in some really interesting experiments
