Whole School Evaluations

English Subject Inspection (May 2026)

On Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th last, District School Inspector Orla Sheehan was in attendance in the school to carry out a Curriculum Inspection in English.

She reviewed all school planning and documentation, examined teacher planning and practice, and checked on pupil learning experiences. Following her inspection, which was thorough, she deemed the teaching and learning in the school to be “very good” overall. She also examined
Board of Management minutes, Child Protection Procedures and records, and Bí Cineálta Anti-Bullying Procedures and records and found the school to be fully compliant in all areas.

She spoke positively of the warm welcoming atmosphere of the school, the respectful interactions amongst all, and was complimentary on the engagement and participation of the pupils. We were very proud of how well the pupils displayed their learning and, on a very hot Wednesday, the Board of Management treated all the children to a very welcome ice-pop to thank them for their participation.

The Inspector’s Report will issue over the coming weeks and will be shared with parents. and posted to the school website.
