Fundraisers

Car Wash

5/28/2023

Car Wash Fundraiser on 6th May 2023

A sincere thank you to everyone who supported and assisted as our Carwash Fundraiser on 6th May 2023 at Tom Doolans Filling Station. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our supporters. €3,505 has been raised thus far, a phenomenal amount for a small school.

The Board of Management wishes to express thanks to Ciaran Kenny and Stephen Dillon who were the main organisers of the event, to everyone who turned up on the day to help with car washing and supplies and to those who gave so generously. It was evident that this event was not only generously supported by parents in the school but also by grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbours, friends, childminders, past pupils, staff, BOM members and members of the local community, It was heartwarming  and encouraging to receive such support.

Sincere thanks also to Tom Doolan and family for not only providing the premises to hold the carwash but also for a very generous donation to the fund. While very generous contributions were made by many connected to the school, donations were also received from Tullamore Show, Mahon Windows, Buggy Coaches, Brendan Feighery Engineering, Fortal College Produce, Townmore Construction and others.

The funds raised through this and other upcoming fundraisers will be dedicated towards painting the school next year. As school painting is a project which requires contractors and Liability insurance, tax clearance certification and processing through government tendering and procurement process, it becomes quiet costly compared to a domestic setting. The Bard of Management are extremely thankful to all the continued support of Coolanarney NS and for the generosity of the school community.
