Well done to our 3rd and 4th class students who participated in the Futsal Soccer Blitz in Mucklagh Community Centre on Monday 25th November. We had a boys team and a girls team and they both played four games each. The boys had a fantastic day and came away unbeaten and the girls were extremely competitive in all their games resulting in a win, two draws and a loss. The most important thing was everyone participated and enjoyed themselves. We are so very proud of how they conducted themselves on the day also. They were great ambassadors for the school. Cormac McGonigley, a former student, now qualified engineer, visited the school to do an Engineering Workshop in conjunction with Steps Engineering. The children had great fun building their wind turbines and their towns. They developed their ability to think like an engineer, work in groups and meet a deadline. There’s no doubt we have some future engineers on our hands! |
