It was an emotional day here in Coolanarney N.S. as we said a fond farewell to Ms. Delaney. We were so lucky to have her here these past few months teaching in 5th and 6th Class. She showed so much care, diligence and hard work with the pupils in the class. It has been a pleasure to work with her, get to know and her dedication and her interest in the children really shone through. We had a small presentation for her today where the children in 5th and 6th class gifted her a goinging away present. We thank her for all her hard work and dedication and wish her the very best in her future career. Go n-éirí an bóthar leat. Feel Good FridaySincere thanks to everyone who contributed most generously to our recent Feel Good Friday fundraiser for Pieta house, organized by 5th and 6th class with Miss Delaney, in conjunction with the Amber Flag Mental Health and Wellbeing Initiative. The boys and girls made, served and sold pancakes and hotchocolate as part of the initiative. A total of €750 was raised on the day, from sales of pancakes and hot chocolate, and from very generous donations. This is an amazing contribution from a small school, and shows the recognition of the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing in our lives. Your donations will be most gratefully accepted by Pieta house to help those in need of support. Costs of the ingredients for the day were sponsored by the Board of Management. Sincere thanks to 5th and 6th class and Miss Delaney for organizing this enjoyable event. |
